Hannah S. Newhall is a Mental Health Counselor (Limited Permit) at Doria Therapeutic Group, PLLC, specializing in evidence-based, trauma-informed care. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola Marymount University, where she completed an intensive clinical practicum in an IOP/PHP setting, supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges related to life transitions, identity development, and co-occurring concerns.

Hannah utilizes an integrative and individualized therapeutic approach grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and strengths-based interventions. She focuses on helping clients expand their emotional awareness, strengthen their coping toolbox, and reconnect with their sense of agency and authenticity. Her work is collaborative, culturally responsive, and deeply affirming, ensuring that each client’s lived experiences and personal values guide the therapeutic process. Progress is reflected through increased insight, improved daily functioning, and the development of practical, adaptive skills.

At Doria Therapeutic Group, PLLC, Hannah is dedicated to supporting individuals across the lifespan and contributing to DTG’s mission of delivering accessible, high-quality mental health care. She also maintains a strong interest in community wellness and preventative support. Her prior experience includes facilitating wellness programming, career development services, and student support initiatives within university settings. She is particularly passionate about reducing stigma around mental health in athletic and high-achieving communities and expanding access to care for students and performers managing high-pressure environments.

Hannah brings a unique blend of personal and professional insight to her clinical work. During her college years, she experienced a life-altering injury that required her to rebuild her foundations and develop new coping strategies, a journey that deeply informs her empathy and therapeutic approach. Originally from Portland, Maine, she has a diverse background in outdoor education and athletics, which continues to shape her holistic perspective on wellness and resilience.

Outside of her clinical work, Hannah finds balance through movement, time outdoors, travel, and staying connected with her community. She is committed to lifelong learning and actively pursues advanced training in trauma, mindfulness-based interventions, and culturally responsive care.
