Clinical Staff

Daylyn Bhavsar-Padilla is the Clinical Team Leader and Mental Health Clinician (Limited Permit) at Doria Therapeutic Group, PLLC. She holds two master’s degrees: a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Mercy University and a Master of Science in Human Behavior from Capella University. Before pursuing clinical counseling, Daylyn spent 17 years working closely with New York City’s Department of Human Services and nonprofit organizations, developing and managing consumer-centered programs aimed at addressing gaps in care and supporting unhoused populations. These experiences fueled her passion for reducing systemic barriers and inspired her to transition into mental health counseling.

As Clinical Team Leader, Daylyn plays an integral role within the clinical team at Doria Therapeutic Group, PLLC, contributing to the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based care. She provides individual and group therapy sessions using a multimodal approach that incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Expressive Arts Therapy (EAT). She specializes in supporting patients dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, Adjustment Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Prolonged Grief Disorder (PGD).

Daylyn’s therapeutic philosophy centers on person-driven care, meeting patients where they are in their journey to foster resilience, healing, and growth. She values creating a safe, inclusive environment that embraces diversity and empowers patients to explore their strengths. A unique aspect of her work includes integrating expressive arts therapy, helping patients tap into creative self-expression as a powerful tool for recovery and personal development.

Committed to ongoing professional growth, Daylyn actively participates in clinical supervision and remains current with best practices in mental health counseling. Beyond her clinical work, she is dedicated to community service, managing a mobile food pantry to combat food insecurity and volunteering with international construction projects through Builders International. Her creativity, leadership, and deep commitment to service enrich both her professional role and personal life at Doria Therapeutic Group, PLLC.
